An Image

An Image Indifferent in so many ways Who says which light is brighter No one knows me like I do To wander… in and out of the forest Arresting me for delinquency testing and breaking me Teaching me to run and feel alive again So symbolic, so literal see an outline If you talk to a bird, it responds Breathe on a plant, it responds In a tent made of wood when the light hits my skin *I remember* The strobe hitting my eyes making heaven real The night comes so slow It leaves me longing alley shadows Silhouetted on a brick wall Elongated and contorted into art Red Yellow and Green send painted lines from the rain like a wall in the sky When the moon is the only light on freeway at night Blended like rays meeting rays and I’m so awestruck
